The Rug Center / Hand Rug Cleaning
Hand washing. Considered care for every rug.
A beautiful rug deserves care chosen for its fibers, dyes, construction, and condition. The Rug Center provides hand rug cleaning from our Mountain View showroom, with pickup and delivery available by arrangement across nearby Bay Area communities.

01 / Hand Rug Cleaning
Begin with the rug, not a standard treatment
Bring your rug to our showroom or send photographs of the front, back, fringe, and any problem areas. We assess its condition and explain the recommended work before you decide. Tell us about previous cleaning, spills, pet accidents, or repairs so those concerns can be considered.
Our seven-step approach
Assessment; dust and grit removal; selection of an appropriate washing method; careful hand washing; thorough rinsing; controlled drying; and final inspection. The treatment is adapted to the rug. Fragile textiles and unstable dyes may require a different approach rather than full immersion.
03 / Hand Rug Cleaning
Spills, odors, and everyday use
Ask us about pet odor, spots, embedded soil, and fringe cleaning. Results depend on the material, the stain, and any previous treatment. We explain limitations before work begins; permanent discoloration cannot always be removed by washing.
