The Rug Center / Rug Rotation & Placement

A fresh perspective on the rug you already love.

Turning a rug or adjusting its placement can help distribute everyday traffic and refresh the room. Ask The Rug Center about placement, rug care, and whether assistance can be arranged for your particular rug.

01 / Rug Rotation & Placement

Look at traffic and light

Notice where people walk, where furniture rests, and which areas receive direct sun. Rotating a rug may distribute use more evenly, but it cannot reverse fading or existing wear. Consider window coverings where strong sunlight reaches the rug.

02

Protect the structure before moving

Do not pull a heavy rug by its fringe or drag furniture across it. An antique or weakened rug may need assessment before lifting or repositioning. Share photographs and dimensions when asking for advice.

03 / Rug Rotation & Placement

Coordinate with cleaning or a room refresh

If you are planning cleaning, a furniture change, or an in-home rug viewing, ask whether placement assistance can be included. Availability, handling requirements, and charges are confirmed before an appointment.

04

Considering a different rug?

Browse our collection or request a consultation with your room measurements and palette. Any purchase, trade, or consignment is discussed separately for the individual piece.
