Map the seating before selecting a size
A great room can include conversation, dining, and circulation within one space. Sketch those zones and record furniture dimensions. Decide which furniture legs should rest on the rug. The best fit depends on how the furniture is arranged rather than a rule based only on the wall-to-wall room size.
Check the dimensions of the actual piece
Handmade rugs do not always match standard size categories exactly. Ask for the measured width and length of the individual rug and whether fringe is included. Check corners, hearths, and door swings before making a final selection.

Bring the details to your consultation
Send room photographs, rug dimensions, and any relevant close-ups. Tell us what you hope to change and the constraints that matter. We can discuss selection, cleaning, repair, or appraisal from our Mountain View showroom. Advice from photographs is a starting point; an individual rug may require inspection.
